Assistant
Kurt Rammel

Kurt enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Grand Lake Mariners. Kurt is currently serving as an assistant coach at Tiffin University and this year will mark his second season on the Dragon’s coaching staff working with catchers, outfielders, hitters, recruiting and coaching first base.

Kurt began his college career at Defiance College and transferred into Tiffin University his sophomore year. While in college, Kurt was an honorable mention All-Conference catcher for the Yellow Jackets and the Dragons.

Kurt graduated from Tiffin University with a degree in Sports Management and Marketing and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Rammel is familiar with the Grand Lake Mariners Organization as his former summer team, the Portland Rockets, competed against the Mariners in many summer exhibition games at Jim Hoess Field. In addition, his family housed former Mariner, Clint Fetzer.

Kurt resides in Tiffin, Ohio but will stay in his hometown of Coldwater for the summer. We would like to wish Kurt good luck this season and hope that there will be many more seasons under his instruction.
